Robert N. Burman


Robert N. Burman was born in Steubenville, Ohio on February 18, 1948. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Bowling Green University in 1970 and his Juris Doctor degree from Capital University Law School in 1973. Prior to receiving his law degree, he was employed by the United States Army Air Force Exchange Service, American Airlines and The Ohio Supreme Court. Mr. Burman was admitted to the Bar in Ohio November 3, 1973; admitted to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, Eastern Division July 17, 1974; and admitted to the United States Supreme Court February 21, 1978. He has been a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and Columbus Bar Association since 1973 and has served from time to time on various bar association committees and as a member of the National Panel of Arbitrators of the American Arbitration Association. He and Mr. Robinson are the senior partners and founding members of the firm. During his career, he has represented client interests in Ohio and has been involved in advisory representation of client matters in various states and jurisdictions outside of Ohio including the United Kingdom, Germany and Holland in association with licensed attorneys practicing in those locales and with all Court approvals where required. He attended the University of Michigan Trial Advocacy School and has served from time to time as a Franklin County Common Pleas Court appointed Arbitrator and Mediator.

Randal D. Robinson


Randal D. Robinson was born in Newark, Ohio on April 2, 1949. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Denison University (1971) and his Juris Doctorate degree from Capital University (1975). He is admitted to practice in Ohio, the U.S. District Court, U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern and Northern Districts of Ohio, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Mr. Robinson has been listed in Who’s Who in American Law and Who’s Who in America since 2000. He has served as a lecturer for Columbus Bar Association, Franklin County Trial Lawyers Association, and the National Association of Credit Managers (NACM), as well as an instructor of business law at Columbus State Community College. Mr. Robinson serves as a fellow of the Columbus Bar Foundation, and served on the Board of Trustees of the St. Joseph Montessori School. He is a member of the Commercial Law League of America (Creditors’ Rights Section), American Arbitration Association, and the Columbus and Ohio State Bar Associations. His principal areas of practice are commercial and creditors’ rights litigation, and he has successfully represented numerous commercial clients in significant litigation and appeals, including Evans, Mechwart, Hambleton & Tilton, Inc. v. Triad Architects, Ltd., 196 Ohio App.3d 784, 2011-Ohio-4979.
